An ear worm: the well-known phenomenon wherein one has a song or melody stuck in their head. I’ve no idea if the term for its visual analogue is eye worm, one would hope not, but a rose by any other name is stuck in my head.
For months now, I’ve had the image of the late pro wrestler (aren’t they all?), Rikishi*, performing his variation of a tombstone piledriver flashing in my head. It starts in the back of my skull, the pulsing sensation of how I would feel his battle cry in my diaphragm, then the sight of his arms thrusting out like Jesus, before dropping to the mat as if someone pulled a chair out from underneath him. All this flickering in and out of my consciousness like a developing Polaroid photo. It looks like this:

From there, more piledrivers appeared in my mind’s eye and I presume this is the universe instructing me to help them appear before your actual eyes. As such, I present a collection of other people pretending to compress a man’s head and neck near their crotch.
